Sainsbury's Roasted Garlic Aioli
- Available from Sainsbury's (£3/170g)
This has a very striking appearance with a drizzle of paprika-infused oil, making it stand out on your picky bits table. We would quite happily dunk crudités or crispy toasted pitta into this. It has a thick texture and well-rounded garlic flavour.
Aldi Specially Selected Layered Indian Style Loaded Dip

This fun dip will add something new to your next picnic, picky bits tea or barbecue spread. Creamy yogurt is layered with mint and sweet, tangy mango chutney. There is a good variety of textures and layers with subtle spicing – we'd happily eat this again.
Waitrose No 1 Baba Ganoush

If you don't have the patience for grilling aubergines at home to make your own baba ganoush, this is a great shortcut option. It has a good level of smokiness, hint of garlic and rich olive oil. Chunks of aubergine running through provide welcome texture. A great addition to a Middle Eastern spread.

Can't choose just one dip? This collection from Morrisons has everything you need in one multipack to keep everybody happy. You'll find a pleasantly thick tzatziki, garlicky aioli topped with red pesto and a red pepper dip mixed with tomatoes for sweetness.
Morrisons The Best Whipped Feta Dip

This creamy whipped feta dip looks attractive when presented, with a smart drizzle of oil and flecks of parsley throughout. The texture is very whipped with some chunks of feta. There is no garlic in here, if you're looking to avoid garlicky dips.
Lidl Meadow Fresh Tex Mex Dip Selection

A colourful budget selection that does exactly what you'd expect. The nacho cheese dip has a good level of flavour – we'd happily dip crisps or nachos in both this and the sour cream and chive dip. The guacamole lets the selection down slightly, but the tomato salsa is pleasantly tangy.
Booths Whipped Feta Dip

A creamy whipped feta is a great addition to a selection of meze. This has a subtle yogurt flavour with chunks of feta throughout for added tang. It is pleasantly cooling and would work well at a barbecue against spicy grilled meats.
